GTHC Predicts, Liverpool away

Well there was only going to be one outcome on his prediction on this game.........
Both of these teams have had a busy summer in the transfer market and, after struggling last season, West Ham have got to be aiming for the top 10 this time.
Liverpool are aspiring to finish a bit higher, obviously, and when I look at the signings that all the teams have made, they look like they have done the best business.
I think the Reds will push City for the title this season and I am backing them to begin with a win.

Too many new players to confidently predict anything.
The winners might be the side that gels best.

I think it is a nothing to lose game, every pundit is backing Liverpool to have a big season and is saying we will take time to gel. As long as we have a go and dont get tonked.
I have a sneaky feeling we might surprise them though.

There's no doubt we have a lot of goal scoring potential in our new line up. However I'm not convinced our defence is up to it. Liverpool will come at us a full pace as Klopp teams do. However we have a lot pace on the counter. With a bit of luck and an off day for them we might get something.

I think they will nick it (no pun intended) 2-1. I hope that we don't park the bus ala Bfs or Moyes style and have a go at them and see what they are made of. First corner or free kick near their penalty area we need Arnie and our centre halfs to put the pressure on their keeper and welcome him to the Premiership.

They don't have the depth or mentality to push through, City have that, no slip ups whereas Liverpool will drop silly points when the going gets tough.

I think they are in with a shout this year, they are stronger this season and what done for them last season was a bad start.
I'm guessing they will be sharpening their knives for Sunday then!
I don't care, our season won't be defined by games against the likes of Liverpool and when we inevitably turn one of them over it will be heaven!

Liverpool have addressed most of their problems with the keeper and midfielders.
If they progress from last season can see them being the closest challengers (but still comfortably behind) to Man City.
I know Lawro is a cunt and it’s just plain funny that he has never predicted a Scouse defeat but we have our work cut out obviously.
Liverpool have smashed everyone in preseason and are terribly smug about their prospects.
Wouldn’t you LOVE it if we burst their balloon.

He's right on both counts, I think they've made some excellent signings.
Followed closely by us and Everton.
Be happy to give them a proper game and show some promise.
